To survive the peacetime economy, between WW1 and WW2, without mass layoffs, Winchester launched an aggressive campaign to become a general manufacturer of consumer home and sporting goods. Adopting the marketing slogan "As Good as the Gun," they leveraged their expertise in precision metalworking to fabricate everyday hardware items. The Winchester cast-iron rotating lawn sprinkler is a highly collectible piece of early 20th-century Americana, recognizable by its heavy, industrial design and prominent corporate branding.
