A remarkable piece of early-to-mid 20th-century American apparel history. These authentic, hand-sewn horsehide leather gauntlet gloves feature a striking two-tone colorway. They were originally made for or distributed by B. F. Liddon in Corinth, Mississippi. Designed for maximum wind, weather, and abrasion protection, this style of wide-cuffed gauntlet was primarily utilized by early motorists, aviators, military dispatch riders, and motorcyclists during the 1910s through the 1930s.
