Established in 1886, the Page Woven Wire Fence Co. was created by a Civil War veteran by the name of J. Wallace Page. While it remained a relatively small company, 100 employees at its height, the company played a huge role in establishing Adrain, Michigan's reputation as the “fence capital of the world”.
This piece is a sample of one of the fences that Page Woven offered. Salesmen would have a few different samples available for prospective clients to view during their sales pitch.
